To reduce the environmental foot print, the existing API dope has given way to the so-called "Green dopes" to eliminate Lead and other heavy metal. More recently, HOCNF / OSPAR Convention has precisely defined a ranking of chemicals, hence enabling few dopes to qualify as "Yellow". Since the 1990's VAM has continuously evaluated and qualified these environmentally friendlier compounds to be used with VAM product lines.
