This product
is developed for use under conditions where
the difference between the fluid types
inside and outside the tube produces greatly
different corrosive environments. An example
is the duplex tube with 18Cr-8Ni stainless
steel exterior and carbon steel interior
which is used as a measure to counter the
corrosion due to the black liquid generated
in sodium recovery boilers. This type of
tube exhibits great economy. Co-extruded
composite tubes are manufactured from combined
one piece billets composed of two different
materials extruded at a high temperature
and high pressure. Through this process,
the two materials are metallurgically joined
and perfectly bonded.
