Sumitomo DP3W has an exceptional resistance
to a wide variety of environments. DP3W is
characterized by its advanced addition of
2% tungsten with 25% chromium base duplex
stainless steel. Highly alloyed tungsten
up to 2% offers an improved seawater corrosion
resistance, also no increase of sensitivity
to intermetallic precipitates during weld
thermal cycles. Super Duplex DP3W’s
properties are characterized as follows;
- Excellent resistance to localized corrosion
- High resistance to general corrosion,
especially in acidic environments
- Excellent mechanical and physical properties
- Good weldability
