Beware of fraudulent e-mails claiming to be from Sumitomo Metals.

Recently, people have reported receiving deceptive e-mails claiming to be from Sumitomo Metals or from Hiroshi Metals. These e-mails attempt to trick recipients into providing sensitive personal information such as their name, address and telephone number and/or making certain deposits or payments. This fraudulent practice is often called “Phishing”.

Please be advised that Sumitomo Metals never sends e-mails to potential company representatives requesting personal information.

It you suspect that you've received a fraudulent e-mail, do not respond to it and do not make any deposit or payment that may be requested. Please forward a copy of any suspicious e-mails purporting to come from Sumitomo Metals to provide us with information about it using the form on our website.
